CytoSport Cyto Gainer Review
I decided that to give CytoSport Cyto Gainer a fair trial, I had to run with it as part of my training regime and supplement intake for four weeks. Cyto Gainer is primarily a muscle mass gainer which is intended to show very swift results. It's made of complex carbohydrates and a very high quality whey protein, which is glutamine rich, designed for easy digestion. The tub showed the supplement to be 98% lactose free and 96% fat free also. I was concerned about putting on extra weight in terms of body fat but being 96% fat free it didn't seem a huge worry to me. I started off with three shakes per day, one in the morning, one 45 minutes before my workout began and then another straight afterwards while my body was still in the training zone. I soon found this not to work that well as it was quite a heavy protein supplement and so moved it to one in the morning, one before muscle building and then a final one on the evening. It is one of those supplements that will make you feel full, so try to drink it around meals as opposed to right before. ![]() In general Cytosport Cyto Gainer was a solid product that delivered results. I noticed visible improvements by week 3 and I'm pretty sure it was more effective at helping my recovery than my previous Maximuscle protein supplement I had been using for the previous few months. Cyto Gainer was also really easy to mix, using just a shaker I was able to get a smooth lumpless shake. I prefered to blend with milk but it tastes all the same with water instead. The taste wasn't too great, but I can't say many protein supplements of this type ever are. As it contains a high protein content you should expect an increase in gas, but only for a day or two before it all settles down and your body will adapt.
